Welcome to the Glasgow branch of Medsin UK! Within the national network, we are a group of dedicated, hard working, enthusiastic and energetic students all passionate about tackling health inequalities both within Glasgow and beyond.
Like most branches we work in three ways: advocacy, action and education. For this year we've got lots of plans, so watch this space!
Check this page to keep updated about our upcoming events, or follow us on twitter (@medsinglasgow), add us on facebook (Medsin Glasgow), or drop us a wee email to be added to our mailing list (firstname.lastname@example.org)

As you can imagine, with such a huge committee (including this year not one, but two Branch Presidents!) we have lots of projects going on. Here's just a wee taster of things that are happening this year in Glasgow.

A series of lectures and workshops focussing on the impact that conflict has on health. Delivered by students, professionals and academics from a wide range of discplines including Medicine, Engineering and Politics.
This year we are going to continue on the good ground work put in last year with the Glasgow Faculty to provide more training to students about how to ensure good ethical practice whilst out on electives.

Claire our GHE Co-Ordinator and Beth our Regional Co-Ordinator are working on an audit of all of the SNI's medical schools to find out how much global health education medical students in Scotland and Northern Ireland actually get!
